The Livre party announced it will propose the creation of a national mobility pass, the reinforcement of family allowance and the creation of a public care homes network in the 2027 State Budget debate. These proposals were revealed by spokesperson Isabel Mendes Lopes at the closing of the party's political "rentrée", called "Os Setembrista", which took place at the Alfândega do Porto customs building in Porto.
Isabel Mendes Lopes again accused the PSD/CDS-PP government of trying to limit and empty the work of deputies in the budgetary process, stating that there is little margin to introduce changes to the proposal that the executive will present. The parliamentary leader stated that Livre rejects this conditioning and that it will present its proposals for the 2027 State Budget.
Among the party's proposals is the transformation of the Green Railway Pass into a "National Mobility Pass", a single transport title that would reach the entire territory. The party also wants to reinforce family allowance and the childhood guarantee, as well as create a "social inheritance" of about 5,000 euros for all babies born in the country, accessible at age 18.
The reinforcement of the "3 C - Casa, Conforto e Clima" (Home, Comfort and Climate) program to combat energy poverty is also part of the proposals. Earlier, spokesperson Jorge Pinto had announced the intention to create a public care homes network. Isabel Mendes Lopes also mentioned that the regulation of online gambling will be brought to parliament next week.
