Tomorrow, September 14, marks the 90th anniversary of the train's arrival in the city of Sines. This milestone represents a significant historical moment for the municipality, which saw its railway connection established nine decades ago.
The date is commemorated through a video made with excerpts from a film produced in 1936, documenting that historical period. The municipality of Sines shared this memory through its social media, specifically on the Facebook platform, using the hashtag #sinesagora.
The arrival of the train represented a milestone in Sines's development, transforming the mobility and connectivity of this coastal Alentejo city. The celebration of these 90 years allows us to revisit that moment through the cinematographic images preserved since 1936.
