Portugal finished this Sunday the Superfinal of the European Beach Soccer League in sixth position, after losing 3-2 in extra time against Belarus. The match took place in Viareggio, Italy, and was for the allocation of the fifth and sixth places of the competition.
The Portuguese beach soccer national team failed to finish among the top five of the European Superfinal. The defeat in extra time against the Belarusians sealed the sixth place final for the Portuguese team in the tournament.
The opponent of the Portuguese team was Belarus, a team that finished just above Portugal in the final classification of the competition. The match was decided after the 90 regulation minutes, requiring extra time to find a winner.
