The Municipality of Lagos opened a competition for the allocation of scholarships aimed at higher and professional education for the 2026/2027 academic year. The deadline for submitting applications is September 30. Students who have already enrolled or who expect to enroll within the scope of the second or third admission phases may apply, with the latter cases being conditional on the subsequent submission of proof.
The application is formalized online through the Scholarship Platform, available on the municipality's website. The municipal support aims to help students and their respective family groups cope with the high expenses that these students, mostly displaced, face in pursuing their studies and training.
The scholarships are awarded to students from family groups with reference annual incomes positioned between the first and fourth tiers of the family allowance. The amount corresponds to 60% of the Social Support Index for students in the first to third tiers, and 30% for students in the fourth tier. For displaced students at a distance greater than 50 kilometers, an extra support of 25 euros is also added.
