Jaime Filipe Ramos was born nine months after April 25, 1974, the date of the Carnation Revolution in Portugal. At that time, Portuguese democracy had just begun, but Madeira was not yet an Autonomous Region. Fifty-one years after that date, Ramos belongs to a generation that received Autonomy already built by those who came before them.
