SAPO Notícias13 September 2026 at 07:00

The September Fair | Crafts, Knowledge and Tradition ends this Sunday, September 13, in the city of Moura. The event, which celebrated crafts, knowledge and traditions, reaches its last day with a program concentrated in the late afternoon.

The closing of the event takes place at the Crédito Agrícola Stage, where the last day begins at 5:30 PM with the delivery of the 2026 Municipal Crafts Prize awards. This initiative is part of the official fair programming.

The event features the participation of craftspeople and cultural manifestations linked to local traditions, having taken place over several days in September in the Alentejo city of Moura.

Why this matters

Readers from Moura and the region have until Sunday to visit the fair and participate in the crafts prize delivery, which recognizes the work of local craftspeople and young people. The event represents an opportunity to enhance the traditions and cultural heritage of the municipality, as well as to mark the official closing of the September festivities.

Sculpture 'Saudade' leaves Galeão and goes to Marina da Glória, previously put up for sale

The sculpture "Saudade", 1.80m tall, created by artist Beto Gatti, was transferred from Tom Jobim International Airport, where it remained for four years, to the promenade of Axia Marina da Glória, in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro. The piece, which will be on display for a month in Guanabara Bay, is part of the new edition of the Monumental Arte na Marina da Glória project, opening this Sunday (13). Along with two other bronze sculptures by the same artist — all for sale, with 20% of the proceeds going to the Associação Saúde Criança — the work proposes a reflection on how screens keep us connected but not always close. The exhibition serves as a preview of the arrival of ArtRIO next week, while Gatti prepares a show on the same theme in London.
