Sepsis: recognizing early, diagnosing accurately, acting at the right time

SAPO Notícias13 September 2026 at 00:00

Sepsis is a serious medical condition in which response time is a critical factor for patient survival. Early recognition of signs and symptoms is essential to avoid serious and potentially fatal complications.

Rapid diagnosis must be aligned with obtaining quality and relevant clinical information. Accuracy in diagnosis allows correct identification of the condition and distinguishes sepsis from other pathologies with similar symptoms.

The timing of intervention is decisive for clinical outcomes. Acting at the right time, combining speed with decisions based on correct information, significantly improves the patient's chances of recovery.
