Flavio Bolsonaro (PL) and Douglas Ruas (PL) participated in a caravan in Campos dos Goytacazes this Saturday (12). The event had the presence of Wladimir Garotinho (PL), former mayor of the city and son of Anthony Garotinho (Republicanos), who is Ruas's rival in the elections. Wladimir received the pair at the city's airport and coordinates Bolsonaro's campaign in North Fluminense, despite the political rivalry between their parents.
The caravan traveled through the streets of Campos for about an hour. On the sound truck were Flavio Bolsonaro, Douglas Ruas, in addition to other important PL candidates from Rio, such as Carlos Jordy and Carlos Portinho, who are running for Senate, and Sotostenes Cavalcante, who is seeking re-election to the Chamber. Wladimir Garotinho, however, was not present in the vehicle.
At the end of the route, Flavio Bolsonaro made a speech focused on public security, also mentioning food prices and proposing the release of driver's license for people from 16 years old. The candidate used the theme of national sovereignty to refer to urban violence.
