Two Public Security Police (PSP) unions, the Portuguese Police Union and the National Police Union, demanded today that the Minister of Internal Administration negotiate the matters that really matter to police officers. The unions consider that it is necessary to overcome the lost time caused by the agreement signed in 2024.
The unions state that the 2024 agreement was signed by a minority of PSP trade union organizations, representing only a minority of police officers. This situation raises questions about the legitimacy and representativeness of this agreement among the police class.
The negotiation in question primarily involves the police officers' risk supplement. According to the unions, the 2024 agreement is causing damages related to this matter, although the article appears truncated and it is not possible to fully understand what these negative consequences are.
