The Venice Film Festival 2026 came to an end with the awarding of the main prizes in the official competition. The film "Woman Unknown", directed by May el-Toukhy, was distinguished with the Golden Lion, the festival's top prize.
The documentary "Naza", signed by Rachel Szork and Yuval Abraham, received the Special Jury Prize, recognizing the filmmakers' work on this production.
In turn, "Possible Love", by South Korean director Lee Chang-dong, was awarded the Silver Lion of the Jury, another of the major prizes in the competition. Lee Chang-dong is a recognized director in the international film festival circuit.
