A fire broke out at the Resitejo landfill, a waste management company located in Carregueira, in the municipality of Chamusca. The fire is mobilizing a strong contingent of firefighters from the Lezíria and Médio Tejo regions.

According to the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection, the alert for the fire was given at 5:56 PM. By 6:45 PM, 68 firefighters were on site supported by various firefighting vehicles.
