The origin of gas unloaded at Sines was quite diversified, with Nigeria leading operations with 50% of the total. The United States represented 43% of discharges, occupying the second position.
Russia, which historically was an important supplier for Portugal, represented only 7% of discharge operations at Sines during this period.
This distribution reflects the significant changes in gas import flows to Portugal, with a substantial reduction in Russian dependence and an increase in liquefied natural gas imports, mainly from countries such as Nigeria and the United States.
