The executive director of AGERE and vice-president of the Urban Cleaning Association (ALU), Alexandra Roeger, today defended that the efficiency of public cleaning services must be accompanied by the population's awareness and active participation. The head of Braga's municipal company spoke at the roundtable "Investing in Urban Cleaning, Investing in the City," part of the 8th Meeting.
Roeger highlighted the concept of "shared responsibility" between public services and citizens as fundamental to keeping cities clean. The argument centers on the idea that government efforts alone are not sufficient without population cooperation.
The roundtable brought together sector specialists and managers to discuss investment strategies in urban cleaning. The event took place within the framework of the 8th ALU Meeting, which brings together professionals and decision-makers in the field of urban cleaning.
