The UMAR Association (União de Mulheres Alternativa e Resposta) celebrates its 50th anniversary, having initiated a fundraising campaign associated with the celebrations that are intended to continue until the end of the year.
The association's founder called for united efforts in defense of women's rights and against what she designated as "extreme conservatism."
The organization faces financial difficulties that have already resulted in the reduction of the teams responsible for the association's projects, prompting the appeal for fundraising to support the continuity of the work being carried out.
