The coordinator of the Left Bloc, Pedro Santos Pereira, known as Pureza, criticized what he considered to be the Government's inaction regarding the lack of teachers in Portuguese schools. For the Left Bloc official, the executive is not providing adequate responses to a situation that affects thousands of students.
According to the criticism put forward, there are thousands of unfilled schedules in schools, which according to Pureza creates a "dimension of turbulence, of some chaos, in people's lives." The coordinator of the Left Bloc considered that this situation is far from being resolved.
Pureza also accused the Government of limiting itself to discursive "nonsense," without taking concrete measures to solve the problem. In his view, the executive is not addressing the underlying issue which, according to the Left Bloc, is related to the cost of living.
