Frazão received the new parish priest, Father António Jorge Correia de Oliveira, who will be responsible for the communities of Arreigada, Ferreira and Frazão, in the municipality of Paços de Ferreira. The arrival of the priest was marked by a public welcome message from the Parish Council of Frazão, which expressed its willingness to accompany the new parish priest on this new mission.
The Parish Council of Frazão described the community as available, welcoming and committed to walking together, leaving a message of closeness to the priest: "Count on our friendship and collaboration. We will walk together, because together we will go further." The local authority also wished that Father António Jorge feels "like one of us" in this new stage.
Father António Jorge Correia de Oliveira arrives in Paços de Ferreira after having served in pastoral duties in the parishes of Caldas de São Jorge, Guisande and Pigeiros, in the Vicariate of Santa Maria da Feira. This change results from the new appointments by the Diocese of Porto and the departure of Father João Pedro Martins Ribeiro, who took up duties as chaplain at Hospital de São João in Porto.
Native of Cepelos, Vale de Cambra, Father António Jorge was ordained as a priest in 1995. Over the past years, he was connected to the three communities in the Santa Maria da Feira region, before taking on this new mission in the Vicariate of Paços de Ferreira.
