Tondela players were more clinical throughout the match, taking advantage of the few chances they created to build an advantage that proved sufficient.
Portimonense, the Algarve team, showed difficulties during most of the encounter and only managed to react in the final phase of the game. In the closing minutes, the Algarve team saw a goal disallowed by a minimal margin of approximately two centimeters, which symbolized the frustration of the home team.
