Gilmar reinforces Zanin's request to have access to Vorcaro's phone content

Minister Gilmar Mendes, doyen of the Supreme Federal Court, reinforced this Saturday a request for all members of the Court to have access to the content of former banker Daniel Vorcaro's phone before the trial that could lead to the opening of an investigation about Justice Alexandre de Moraes. In an official letter to the court president, Edson Fachin, Gilmar endorsed colleague Cristiano Zanin's request for a copy of the data kept sealed by Mendonça to be sent to the chambers. Gilmar argued that the measure is necessary to ensure all justices have knowledge of relevant information for the trial, stating that asymmetric access to the information collection compromises parity among Court members and the very collegiality that should preside over the trial. According to the doyen, full access to Vorcaro's messages will allow for a more complete and adequate deliberation in the scheduled session.
