The Supreme Federal Court will hold an unprecedented session next Tuesday to examine the conduct of one of its justices. The Court will examine suspicions involving the relationship between Alexandre de Moraes and banker Daniel Vorcaro, raised by the inquiry reported by Justice André Mendonça. The investigations are related to the so-called Master case.
Part of the STF justices advocate for the extraordinary session to be held behind closed doors, exerting pressure on Justice Fachin, responsible for conducting the case. However, Fachin believes the trial should be public, diverging from this position.
Throughout the week, Fachin consulted his colleagues on the court, including Justice Cármen Lúcia, and refrained from preempting his decisions on the procedure to be followed. The debate over opening or closing the session remains a central point in the Court's internal discussions.
