Benfica and Moreirense were both punished with fines after the Disciplinary Board of the Portuguese Football Federation analyzed incidents recorded in the stands of the stadium in Moreira de Cónegos during the match between the two teams.
Regarding Benfica, fines were applied due to inappropriate behavior from their fans. Specifically, the red-and-white fans threw balls onto the pitch during the match, which constitutes a violation of the disciplinary regulations.
As for Moreirense, the club was sanctioned for having detected the presence of people with high alcohol levels in their facilities, which violated the safety and organization standards of sports venues.
The sanctions applied reflect the zero-tolerance policy of the Portuguese Football Federation regarding incorrect behavior in the stands, seeking to hold clubs accountable for the conduct of their fans and ensure safety in stadiums.
