The 2024 edition of Rock in Rio had its so-called "k-pop day" this past Friday (11), when the main stages of the event hosted major names in Korean-Japanese pop. All artists on the Mundo Stage that night were k-pop representatives, with the exception of Brazilian DJ and producer Alok, who also performed on the main stage.
On the Sunset Stage, the second largest at the event, the programming was dominated by black music and its fusions with R&B, disco-funk, and Latin influences. Among the artists who performed on this stage were Jota.Pê, Os Garotin, and Jamiroquai, the latter coming from other countries.
GLOBO critics evaluated the performances of the night with grades ranging between 7 and 9.5. The highest-rated show was Jamiroquai's, which received a 9.5. Following were Stray Kids (8.5), Os Garotin (8.25), Jota.Pê (8.25), PJ Morton (8), Alok (7.5), Hwasa (7.25), and Nexz (7).
