The Moscatel Festival takes place this weekend in Favaios, in the council of Alijó, a celebration that brings together wine, music, gastronomy and tradition. This year's edition kicked off on Friday, September 11, with the official opening of the festival, street entertainment and concerts by Paulo Gonzo, The Billers and DJ Nevven.
On Saturday, one of the highlights is the traditional toast with Moscatel de Favaios, accompanied by fireworks. The evening also features performances by Delfins, Them Flying Monkeys and DJ Nevven.
Sunday's program presents a more cultural and traditional side, including a eucharist, the presentation of a work dedicated to agriculture and the terminology of remedies and agricultural practices, street entertainment and the Harvest Ball.
The festival closes after a communal lunch for the local population, keeping Favaios as a meeting point for the celebration of one of the most emblematic products of the council of Alijó.
