Rachel Goswell, co-vocalist, keyboardist and guitarist of Slowdive, was interviewed by BLITZ during the Primavera Sound festival in June. The artist, described as a woman with a lovely laugh, spoke about the experience of still being able to travel the world with the band she founded in the 90s.
According to the interview, Goswell notes that the current Slowdive audience is very different from what it used to be. She observes that there are many young people in the audience and that there's always someone crying in the front rows, which makes her think, with humor, whether the show is really going "that badly."
The band faced intense criticism during the 90s, a period when it was highly contested. Despite this, Goswell doesn't hide her happiness at continuing to perform and travel with the group.
Beyond music, Rachel Goswell is dedicated to an important cause: helping deaf people, a reality that is part of her personal life, since her own son is deaf.
