Today's terrorism is different from the early 21st century

The professor of International Relations at the University of Lisbon, Bernardo Valente, stated that current terrorism is different from that of the early 21st century. He noted that both the nature of terrorism and the terrorist groups themselves have changed over time. Valente specifically referred to the changes that occurred since the September 11, 2001 attacks, suggesting that extremist groups have adapted to new geopolitical and technological realities.
