In an interview with Jornal Económico, Rui Rocha, former leader of Iniciativa Liberal, explained the methodology behind his standout performance at the parliamentary hearing of Minister Luís Neves, where he asked concrete and focused questions that exposed the minister's inability to respond to important matters. Rocha criticized the remaining MPs for using open and too "flowery" questions, a habit he attributes to their familiarity with social media like TikTok. He defended that a good parliamentary question should be concise, closed, and preceded by a clear position from the questioner, in order to force the interlocutor to rebut or, through silence, validate his thesis. He revealed he started preparation in August, with a small team, and regretted not having had time to ask the minister what he would do if he were made a defendant.
