Cabo Verde recorded a 9% increase in the number of guests in the second quarter, compared to the same period of the previous year. In total, the country counted 277 thousand guests during that quarter.
The United Kingdom was the main country of origin for visitors, representing a quarter of all guests who arrived in Cabo Verde during that period. This prominent position of the British market confirms the importance of tourism coming from the United Kingdom for the archipelago.
The 9% growth reflects the positive trend of Cabo Verde's tourism sector, which continues to be a fundamental pillar of the country's economy. The data indicates that the destination maintains its attractiveness among international travelers.
