CGTP-IN will convene a "major national demonstration" to be held in Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra on October 17. The objective of this mobilization is to "involve workers in political discussion," according to what was announced by the union structure.
The demonstration will take place simultaneously in the three cities, bringing together workers from different sectors and regions of the country. This action represents a call to collective participation of workers around political issues that affect their labor and social conditions.
CGTP-IN, as the country's main trade union federation, thus assumes a role of organization and promotion of this day of struggle. The choice of the three cities reflects the intention to achieve a truly national dimension, allowing the participation of workers from various areas of Portuguese territory.
