The gates of Rock in Rio 2026 opened this Friday morning (11) at Cidade do Rock, and the audience rushed to Palco Mundo to secure the best spots for the K-pop attractions, with the group Stray Kids as the main highlight, one of the biggest and most listened to in the world in the genre. Most of the audience came specifically to see the South Korean band.
A large portion of the spectators are young people, many under 15 years old, who are experiencing their first concert. This is the case of Alice, 12 years old, who accompanied her mother, Eliane Silva, to the festival. Her mother says she never had much interest in going to Rock in Rio, but would do "anything for her daughter." Eliane arrived that morning from São Paulo on business and they went straight to the event to get the best spot possible.
Alice expressed her excitement that her first show would be the Stray Kids, saying she can't wait for them to come on stage. Other parents also brought their children to the festival, some coming from other states, like Geani, who brought her 14-year-old daughter Maria Isabel to the event.
