National Association of Municipalities defends editorial independence of the Lusitanian news agency

The National Association of Portuguese Municipalities (ANMP), based in Coimbra, argues that the future model of the Lusitanian news agency should ensure a balance between editorial independence, management stability and effectiveness, as well as democratic oversight, accompanied by transparency, participation and accountability mechanisms.

The ANMP particularly values proposals that reinforce the editorial independence of the news agency.
