The Attorney General's Office (PGR) asked the Supreme Federal Court (STF) to end the secrecy of documents related to the so-called Master Case. The request was directed to Minister Edson Fachin, who serves as the rapporteur of the case in the Court.
Fachin granted a 24-hour deadline for the matter to be analyzed. The PGR's request points out that part of the case records remained under secrecy, which motivated the request for the opening of the documents.
The president of the STF, Minister Luís Roberto Barroso, determined access to the procedures linked to the operation known as Compliance Zero, which is related to the case. Fachin's decision falls within the scope of this same determination for access.
The Master Case involves investigations that are being processed in the Supreme Federal Court and that, until now, contained documents with secrecy classification that prevented public access to the contents of the records.
