A Federal Police report, sent to the Supreme Federal Court on July 8, investigates crimes such as money laundering, currency evasion, and corruption related to the film "Dark Horse," which tells the story of Jair Bolsonaro. The box office projection for the work was one of the clues that led officers to open the investigation.
According to the document "Captain of the People Business Plan V5," seized from the cell phone of Daniel Vorcaro, from Banco Master, the producers' most optimistic scenario projected exhibition revenue of up to US$ 100 million. Other scenarios presented to the banker were US$ 70 million (conservative) and US$ 45 million (pessimist).
The PF highlighted that there is an apparent mismatch between the projected value for the production of "Dark Horse" and the parameters normally practiced in the Brazilian audiovisual market. According to the report, this circumstance alone does not characterize any criminal offense, but reinforces the need for investigation.
