Maria Luís Albuquerque, former Minister of Finance of Portugal and current European Commissioner, gave an interview to RTP Europa where she addressed issues related to financial literacy and the budgetary priorities of the European Union.
In the interview, the commissioner argued that financial literacy should be considered a basic competence, highlighting that the ideal scenario would be its introduction in the education system from an early age, in order to prepare young people for responsible financial management.
Maria Luís Albuquerque recalled that defense is one of the main priorities of the next European Union budget, reinforcing the importance of this issue for the stability and security of the Community bloc.
