How the Attorney General's Office Prepared to Act in the Master Case

The Vice Attorney General of Brazil, Hindenburgo Chateaubriand Diniz Filho, filed the request for release of all materials in the Banco Master case at the Supreme Federal Court (STF). The measure was taken to advance the investigation involving the financial institution.

Despite being cited in the case, Attorney General Paulo Gonet is not expected to declare himself disqualified from acting in the process. The expectation is that he will continue exercising his duties normally within the investigation.

According to a source interviewed for the article, the complexity of the case led the Attorney General's Office to adopt a joint action strategy. In addition to Gonet and the Vice Attorney General, other deputy attorneys will also participate in the case.
