ULS Lezíria reinforces technological modernization with acquisition of robotic surgical system

The Unidade Local de Saúde da Lezíria (ULS Lezíria) reinforced its technological and care capacity with the installation of a new robotic surgical system. The total investment amounted to 2.390 million euros, plus VAT, having been acquired under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). According to ULS Lezíria, this investment represents a milestone in the modernization of the health unit.

Europe must "match Russian production capacity" of drones, Kubilius warns

The European Commissioner for Defence, Andrius Kubilius, warned that Europe needs to rapidly increase drone production to match Russian capacity, which reaches 10 million FPV drones and 130,000 attack drones per year, while the EU produces only 1.5 million annually. This warning came at the inaugural meeting of the EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance, which has 18 founding members — nine from the EU and nine from Ukraine — including companies such as Indra, Fincantieri, Quantum Systems and Destinus on the European side, and Ukrainian manufacturers such as Skyfall Industries and Greentech Harvest. The alliance aims to accelerate joint ventures, implement defence initiatives such as DECODER and Eastern Flank Watch, and can benefit from funding of up to 10 billion euros for the production of drones, missiles and fighter jets.
