The Government and the Socialist Party met in Parliament to discuss the Unemployment Benefit, in a meeting that took place without either party making public statements about the content of the meeting.
The Executive's delegation was led by the Minister of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security, Maria do Rosário Palma Ramalho, and by the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Carlos Abreu Amorim.
On behalf of the Socialist Party, Miguel Cabrita, member of the PS National Secretariat, and the vice-presidents of the socialist parliamentary group Mariana Vieira da Silva and Ana Paula Bernardo participated in the meeting.
After the meeting, both the Government and the PS chose not to make any statements about the matters discussed, thus maintaining silence about the content of the negotiations regarding the PSU.
