The Sanlúcar la Mayor Instance Court decided to dismiss the investigation into up to eight administratively unauthorized wells on the Aljóbar estate, located in Aznalcázar and linked to the Alba family. The decision was made by the judge after the conclusion of the investigation proceedings.
The case was related to water extractions on the property located in the surroundings of Doñana, an area of great ecological value in Spain. The administrative authorities had identified the wells as unauthorized.
The judge considered that it was not proven that the water extractions caused serious danger to the environment, which led to the dismissal of the case. This reasoning was decisive for the closure of the investigation.
