Mateus Mide renewed his contract with FC Porto, becoming the last of the five "dragões" players who were champions of Europe and the World at under-17 level to formalize their continuity at the club. The young player, who had already publicly expressed his desire to stay, finally completed the renewal with the Porto crest.
The forward was the only one of the five young champions who had not yet sealed the renewal, which generated some expectations regarding his future. This renewal comes at a time when FC Porto is looking to hold on to its main emerging talents.
The playmaker also made headlines for being distinguished as the best player of the Under-17 World Cup, an individual recognition that underscores his potential and value within Portuguese football.
Mateus Mide has already stated that his next objective is to debut at the Estádio do Dragão, which suggests he intends to make the leap from the youth levels to the first team of the blue and whites.
