The University of Minho reinforced its internationalization strategy by participating in the largest European higher education meeting, integrating the national pavilion "Study and Research in Portugal". The event brought together higher education institutions and organizations from around the world, providing a privileged space for contacts and strategic collaborations.
During the meeting, UMinho conducted approximately 40 bilateral meetings with institutions of strategic interest, identified in coordination with its Organic Units, with the aim of consolidating existing partnerships and exploring new opportunities for academic and scientific cooperation.
The institution also marked its presence in the space of the Arqus European University Alliance, reinforcing its commitment to this European alliance. It also participated in the UK-EU Erasmus+ Reception, an initiative organized by five countries that marked the United Kingdom's return to the Erasmus+ Program from 2027, and at a networking event of the SGroup Universities.
The next edition of the EAIE will be held in Lisbon, between September 7 and 10, 2027, under the theme "Luminous Perspectives", representing an opportunity for UMinho to increase its international visibility and deepen relationships with global academic partners.
