The Constitutional Court rejected the appeal presented by PAN (People-Animals-Nature) and upheld the invalidity of the election of the party's national organs. The decision was made by the judges of the Ratton Palace, the court's seat.
The election of the national organs was considered invalid for having been held by a restricted set of party structures. This limitation in the universe of participants was one of the grounds for the court's decision.
Furthermore, the Constitutional Court identified that the election was conducted by a structure statutorily incompetent for the purpose. That is, the body that promoted the vote did not have statutory legitimacy to do so.
According to the court's judges, these irregularities call into question the legitimacy of the entire election process of PAN's national organs.
