Iranian president proposes BRICS company to resist sanctions and conflicts

The Iranian president, Masoud Pezeshkian, proposed the creation of a BRICS company as a way to resist sanctions and international conflicts. The suggestion was presented within the framework of the economic bloc's meetings.

Pezeshkian advocated for a broader role for the New Development Bank, urging the institution to become the main driver of infrastructure and energy financing within the BRICS bloc.

The proposal comes in a context where Iran faces heavy Western sanctions, and the Iranian leader sees the multilateral organization as an alternative to the financial system dominated by Western countries.

With this initiative, Iran aims to strengthen economic cooperation among the bloc's member countries and reduce dependence on traditional international financial institutions.
