Donald Trump spoke from the Pentagon, one of the sites attacked on September 11, 2001, in a speech where he detailed the victims and their families, some of whom were present at the event. The former American president extolled the American spirit during the anniversary ceremony of the attacks.
Pete Hegseth, current United States Secretary of Defense, spoke before Trump at the same ceremony. Hegseth recalled that the country still has enemies and directed criticism at the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The event took place at the Pentagon, headquarters of the U.S. Department of Defense, which was one of three targets of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, along with the Twin Towers in New York and a field in Pennsylvania.
