Android now allows switching between password managers more simply, eliminating the need to use unprotected CSV files to export and import credentials. The feature is already compatible with several popular services, including Google Password Manager, 1Password, Bitwarden, and Dashlane. This list covers some of the main options used by consumers to store and manage their access credentials.
In addition to transferring traditional passwords, the new Android feature also allows the transfer of passkeys, the access keys that represent a more secure alternative to conventional passwords. This ability to migrate passkeys between different managers represents a significant advance in interoperability between platforms.
