The Skating Section of the Associação Académica de Coimbra (AAC) is experiencing an internal conflict related to the distribution of training schedules. More than 100 artistic skating athletes will be constrained by the lack of available space to practice the sport.
The parents of artistic skating athletes contest the way schedules are being distributed between the two existing modalities in the Skating Section. The group of parents considers that the allocation of schedules is not being done equitatively, directly affecting the training of their children.
In response to the situation, a group of parents prepared a statement where they outline their concerns regarding the lack of schedules made available for artistic skating. This document represents the unanimous position of the complaining parents.
The situation arises at a time of tension between the two modalities that share the same space in the Skating Section of the AAC, raising questions about the management of available resources and the future of artistic skating within the academic association.
