The Municipality of Abrantes awarded the stage mechanics of Cine-Teatro São Pedro for approximately 924 thousand euros. This award comes five months after the municipal council had annulled a previous tender due to errors in the specifications document.
The municipality of Abrantes is responsible for this award, through its municipal council. The project aims at the rehabilitation and modernization of Cine-Teatro São Pedro, a cultural facility of the municipality.
The mayor of Abrantes stated that they are working to have the Cine-Teatro open by the end of the year, although he did not rule out the possibility of the inauguration occurring only at the beginning of the following year.
This intervention represents a significant investment in the cultural infrastructure of the municipality, allowing the recovery of a space that is part of Abrantes' cultural heritage.
