Vila Nova de Poiares will celebrate 25 years of existence of a brotherhood dedicated to chanfana, transforming itself during an afternoon into a meeting point for true appreciators of this traditional Portuguese dish. The event features the preparation of several tons of chanfana to serve participants.
The brotherhood, which has completed a quarter century of activity, has been promoting the valorization and dissemination of this typical regional delicacy for 25 years. The celebration marks this important anniversary with a collective dinner that brings together dozens of people around the table.
