Israel confirms destroying Hezbollah tunnel network in southern Lebanon

Israel confirmed having destroyed a network of tunnels belonging to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. The operations are part of a broader offensive against the Lebanese armed group.

The tremors and shock waves resulting from the destructions were felt as far as Sidon, in southern Lebanon, about 40 kilometers from the capital Beirut. The extent of the damage caused by the Israeli operation was significant.

The Israel Defense Forces declared having eliminated a substantial part of the underground infrastructure used by Hezbollah in the southern Lebanon region. This military action represents an escalation in the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

Three people rescued in Viana after vessel drifts at sea

Three people, two of Spanish nationality and one Swedish, aged between 25 and 40, were rescued on Thursday night after the high-speed vessel they were on drifted about 60 nautical miles west of Viana do Castelo. The occupants were initially picked up by a merchant ship that also towed the vessel, and were then transferred to maritime authorities two nautical miles from the outer breakwater of Viana do Castelo.
