A forest fire broke out at Cerro do Entrudo, situated near the border of the Mértola municipality with the Algarve region. The fire is "evolving with intensity" in an area described as having "difficult access," which hinders the work of the authorities.
The response to the fire has a significant deployment, mobilizing 115 operatives and eight aerial means to try to control the flames. The authorities are working to combat the fire in what is an area of difficult access.
