140 organizations warn of humanitarian emergency and growing tension in Ceuta

More than 140 Spanish social solidarity organizations signed a letter addressed to various administrations in which they call for a reinforced and accelerated response to migrants in Ceuta. Among the promoting organizations are the Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid (CEAR) and the Jesuit Service for Migrants. This joint appeal aims to pressure authorities to take more effective measures in response to the current situation. The signatory institutions warned that a "humanitarian emergency" is being experienced with a growing impact on the life of the Spanish city. Thousands of people continue in a situation of great vulnerability, requiring immediate attention from the competent authorities.
