Based in the United States for over a decade, Eduardo "Brigadeiro" Venâncio, 6th degree black belt trained by Ricardo De La Riva, will return to Rio de Janeiro this Saturday to teach a seminar at the Brigadeiro Jiu Jitsu headquarters, in Barra da Tijuca. The event marks his return to the academy where he developed part of a work that began nearly four decades ago of practice in jiu-jitsu.
The meeting will be closed and exclusively for invited guests. During the seminar, fundamentals, strategy, self-defense and concepts developed by Brigadeiro throughout his extensive career in the martial art will be covered.
The seminar's proposal is to work on principles that can be used by practitioners of different ranks, with special attention to understanding the situations encountered during a fight. The goal is to serve everyone from beginners to black belts.
Brigadeiro explained that he wants to present principles applicable to all levels of practitioners, showing not only what to do, but mainly why, when to apply it, and how to adapt each concept to the individual characteristics of each athlete. The teaching methodology will be one of the highlights of the event.
