New ATM operational at the Terrugem Parish Council

A new ATM is now operational on the ground floor of the Terrugem Parish Council building, following the completion of the installation and operating system configuration work.

The equipment offers various services, including fee waivers for Portuguese cards, withdrawals of up to 1,000 euros per day through two withdrawals of 500 euros each, service payments, mobile phone top-ups, state payments and transport ticket top-ups. However, the new ATM does not allow bank transfers.

The Terrugem Parish Council emphasizes the importance of this equipment, considering it "an asset" for the local population. The council states that it is "a necessary investment" and expresses the expectation that this new solution "makes a positive difference in the lives of the residents".

Fuel retailers accuse Government of "lying" to the Portuguese and demand more enforcement

The president of ANAREC, João Durão, accused the Portuguese Government of "lying to the Portuguese" and profiting from fuels, demanding greater enforcement to stop cross-border smuggling between Portugal and Spain. In Lanhelas, Caminha, Durão warned that national companies are losing competitiveness due to the high tax burden, noting that in one euro of diesel 60 cents are taxes, a situation that does not occur in Spain.
